"Great Minds Do Not Think Alike" with speaker Renee Weisman

Wednesday, December 4, 2019 6 Kislev 5780

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Please join us on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7 PM at Temple for a special adult education event sponsored by Sisterhood and featuring TBA member Renee Weisman.

Men and women do not think alike. They solve problems differently. They hear the same words differently. They respond to praise and criticism differently. They make buying decisions differently. It’s genetic; it’s environmental; it’s inevitable! Unfortunately, most men and women do not understand these differences and how they affect their interactions. As a result, men and women often think they have communicated and actually have two very different memories of the conversation. This is true at in both their personal and professional lives. Great Minds Do Not Think Alike will take a scientific look at how the male and female brains differ in problem solving, how men and women under stress behave differently (and what to do about it) and how to communicate better. You may think you understand the opposite sex but this session will give you an appreciation you have never considered.

Bio: Renee Weisman is a member of TBA and membership chair of Sisterhood. Prior to retiring, she was a Distinguished Engineer and Director of Engineering at IBM Corporation and holds over 20 patents and technical inventions. Having been one of the first women engineers, managers, and executives in the heavily male dominated microelectronics industry, Renee learned by “living it” how to capitalize on gender differences for individual and organizational success, and now teaches others how to do the same. She is the author of four books, including Winning in a Man’s World.

Please RSVP to Carole Levine, jptrcaro@comcast.net or 561-339-3909 by Sunday Dec 1. We look forward to seeing you at this fun and informative event.
