Youth Groups
Youth Groups
HaMakom at Temple Beth Am has three vibrant youth groups for 3rd – 12th graders, Cochavim (3rd – 5th grade), JAMTY Junior (6th – 8th grade), and JAMTY (9th – 12th grade). Programs include a variety of social, religious, cultural, and social action events designed to provide Jewish youth the opportunity to form friendships in a fun and safe environment that will foster their connection to Judaism and their community. Contact Alissa Frankel, Education Director, at afrankel@templebetham.com or 561.747.1109 for more information.

6:30pm-7:30pm - Weekly Program
7:30pm-8:00pm - Social Game or Activity

NFTY-STR
We are connected to the NFTY-STR region (Northern Federation Temple Youth – Southern Tropical Region). NFTY’s mission is “to build strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, we pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections all rooted in Reform Judaism”. There are five regional events throughout the year that we encourage our teens to attend to meet other Jewish youth from our region which is from Central Florida to the Keys.

JAMTY Cafe
JAMTY Cafe is hosted by HaMakom's high school youth group, JAMTY, to raise money for their scholarship fund to help send them to events and conventions throughout the year. They oversee the operations of the cafe and assist with the accounting each week.
JAMTY Cafe is open 30 minutes before the start of classes on Sundays (9:00am – 9:30am) and Tuesdays (4:30pm – 5:00pm). On Sundays, we feature bagels, muffins, and assorted beverages and on Tuesdays, we serve pizza and snacks.
For $25, you can get a discount card for your students that saves you 50 cents/item. They are valid for any food or drink purchase on both Sunday and Tuesdays!
100% of the proceeds go back to our teens!
If anyone 8th grade and older is interested in volunteering on a Sunday or Tuesday to run JAMTY Café, please let us know here!
College Connection
We need your college student's address! The College Connection program gives Temple Beth Am the opportunity to send out surprise holiday packages throughout the year to our college students. This is a wonderful way to let them know that their family and congregation are thinking of them and allows the students to maintain a strong connection to their Judaism. The packages will be sent out three times every year that your child is in college in time for Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah, and Passover! Please email Alissa Frankel if you'd like to participate.
