Sponsored by Sisterhood and open to all. Please join us on Zoom as we present Sarah Aroeste in concert. Sarah will sing Ladino songs and give a history of Ladino music. The Ladino language was spoken by the Jews who lived in Spain and is a mixture of Spanish with elements of Hebrew (as well as Aramaic, Arabic, Turkish, Greek, French, Bulgarian and Italian—the countries to which Jews fled from the Spanish Inquisition). Sarah has not only presented concerts, but has recorded four albums and authored a book for children. We look forward to her time with us.
