Since the Hamas attacks on October 7th, 2023, the debate surrounding Israel's legitimacy has intensified. Arguments denying Israel's right to exist, labeling it a colonialist enterprise, and questioning the Jewish people's historical connection to the land have gained traction not just among Palestinians, but also within academia, media, and popular culture.
This course equips you with the knowledge and tools to effectively counter these narratives. We will delve into:
- The 3,000-year-old Jewish connection to the land of Israel: Tracing the historical, religious, and cultural ties that bind the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland.
 - The origins and evolution of modern Zionism: Understanding the political and ideological movement that led to the establishment of the State of Israel.
 - The complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Examining the historical context, key events, and ongoing challenges from multiple perspectives.
