"Flappers, Fashion, & Fitzgerald" with Terryl Lawrence, FAU Professor (presented by Sisterhood)

Thursday, February 9, 2023 18 Shevat 5783

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Sponsored by Sisterhood and open to female members of the congregation.

The Roaring Twenties was the age of the “Flappers”, young women who pushed barriers in economic, political and sexual freedom. French designer Coco Chanel changed fashion to more comfortable, less constricting clothes.  F. Scott Fitzgerald documented these times in his novels. Join us on Thursday, November 10 at 7:00pm in person at the Temple for our next Sisterhood program, “Flappers, Fashion and Fitzgerald” when Florida Atlantic University Professor Terryl Lawrence will give a presentation about this exciting, glamorous and groundbreaking era.  Refreshments will be served.  Please RSVP to Marcy Brody at marcybrody@gmail.com or 610-529-3050 by February 7.

At this meeting we will also be collecting condiments in plastic bottle packaging (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, siracha, and salsa) to benefit local food pantries.  Just bring your items with you to the meeting.
