An Update for the Congregation on our COVID Protocols (11/9/21)

Dear Temple Beth Am Community,

We are thrilled to announce that, on the recommendation of our COVID Safety Taskforce, Temple Beth Am will no longer mandate masks at adult programs, including Shabbat Services and adult education classes, beginning on Wednesday, November 10.

According to current CDC guidelines, Palm Beach County has met the threshold for not requiring vaccinated individuals to wear masks indoors due to lower transmission and positivity rates. Unvaccinated persons should still wear masks inside, and everyone is asked to self-distance. This policy update is for adult programming only—the current policies of our preschool and religious school remain in place. While we are excited to finally be in this moment, please remember that if at any time the situation changes, out of safety for our community we will follow CDC guidelines and reinstate the mask mandate if it becomes necessary.

Many of you have been waiting for this day, and the timing could not be more auspicious with our first Musical Shabbat taking place this Friday. We hope that if you haven’t been back to Services yet, you will join us this week at 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing your whole faces, filling the sanctuary with the sound of everyone singing together, and catching up with friends over a delicious oneg.

Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, shehecheyanu, v'kiy'manu, v'higiyanu laz'man hazeh.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of all, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this season.
