Amy Russell grew up in Potomac, Maryland, the eldest child of a close knit family led by her value-driven parents, David and Lois. In 1995, Amy graduated from Winston Churchill High, nominated by US News as one of the top 100 high schools in the country. Travel is one of Amy’s defining passions, and in tenth grade she studied for a year on Central America’s “rich coast”, Costa Rica. This experience propelled her to study abroad for one more year, this time on the south-eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea in Israel.
By 1997, just two years after graduating from high school, Amy became an alum of University of Maryland College Park with a bachelor of arts in criminal justice and criminology.
The inspiration to travel became a reoccurring theme as Amy slung on her back pack and discovered Europe one step at a time in 1998. That same year Amy moved to Miami to study at the University of Miami School of Law.
In 2000, while studying in Miami, Amy met her future husband Brian Russell, also an attorney. Within two years they were engaged, in true romantic fashion, on Valentine’s Day. After graduating in 2001, Amy and Brian moved to Palm Beach Gardens where they were married. Their first boy, Kevin, was born in short order, followed later by his sisters Hannah and Sydney.
An intelligent, hard-working attorney, Amy’s legal career started at Bobo Spicer, a defense firm focused on health care providers. In 2003 she moved on to Romaguera, Baker, Dawson, Bringardner & Dias and following a partnership shuffle she joined her current professional home at Mancuso & Dias, a full service litigation defense firm.
