Come Celebrate the High Holy Days

with Temple Beth Am
,

a warm, welcoming congregation serving the Northern Palm Beaches including West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach,
Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Tequesta.

Selichot: Saturday, September 24, 2011

With these prayers we begin the season of awe by asking for forgiveness for our misdeeds and begin the process of soul searching. This service prepares us for turning our lives in the direction to reflect on human life and God. All the themes of the High Holy Days are introduced at this service.

6:30pm: Our evening begins at 6:30pm with a brief, beautiful Havdalah Service as we say goodbye to Shabbat and begin a new week. A buffet dinner provided by the Sisterhood follows the Havdalah Service. Reservations for dinner are required.

7:30pm Program: “An Intellectual and Spiritual Preparation for the High Holy Days” Join Cantor Tanya Greenblatt on an interactive exploration of the meaning of the High Holy Days. Together we will experience a deeper connection to the spiritual journey of the High Holy Days through an in-depth understanding of the meaning behind the prayers and traditions of the season.

After the program, Rabbi Alon Levkovitz, along with Cantor Tanya Greenblatt, will lead us through the beautiful Selichot Service. Be with us as we end the evening with the lights down low and candles being lit.

The above program is open to everyone. No reservation is needed to attend the program that begins at 7:30pm. There is a charge of $18 per person for those attending the buffet. To make reservations, see flyer included with this information or Debbie Baseman at 747-1109.

Reservations for dinner must be made in advance.  No money will be accepted at the door.

We hope you attend this evening and meet our Rabbi and Cantor.
