YOM KIPPUR
Other than Shabbat, Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) is the holiest day of the Jewish year. On Yom Kippur we atone for our mistakes, deepen our relationship with God and our judgment is secured. It is a day of reflection and fasting. During the afternoon Yizkor Service we recite special prayers to remember our loved ones who have past away. We conclude the day with the blowing of the Shofar (ram's horn) and a light break-the-fast.

Yizkor Book for High Holy Days 2011 Deadline: September 7th
During the High Holy Days, and especially at the Yizkor service on Yom Kippur, we remember family and friends who have passed away. It is customary to make a contribution to tzedakah in honor of those for whom we say Yizkor. One opportunity for honoring the memory of loved ones is to include their names in our annual Yizkor Book, which also includes prayers, poems and readings.
Please offer the relevant information on this Yizkor form below. We must receive your Yizkor form by September 7th to include your listing. This is a FIRM deadline. Forms received after that will not be processed in time for the name(s) to appear in the book. A donation of $18 per line is suggested. For Yizkor Book questions, please contact Sharon Holinstat at 630-0297.
Thank you and Shanah Tovah.
