2010 - Temple Beth Am High Holy Days Schedule – 5771
2250 Central Blvd. Jupiter, Fl. 33458 561-747-1109
Selichot: Saturday, September 4, 2010
With these prayers we begin the season of awe by asking for forgiveness for our misdeeds and begin the process of soul searching. This service prepares us for turning our lives in the direction to reflect on human life and God. All the themes of the High Holy Days are introduced at this service.
6:30 PM: We begin Selichot in the Social Hall with a brief Havdalah Service followed by a buffet dinner provided by the Sisterhood. Reservations for dinner are required.
7:30 PM: We will begin with a brief program in the Social Hall. After the program, Rabbi Alon Levkovitz, along with Cantor Bruce Benson, will lead us through the beautiful Selichot Service. Be with us as we end the evening with the lights down low and candles being lit.
The above program is open to everyone. No reservation is needed to attend the program that begins at 7:30 PM. There is a charge of $18 per person for those attending the buffet. Reservations are to be made with Evelyn Slotkin at 775-7398.
Reservations for dinner must be made in advance.
No money will be accepted at the door.
We hope that non-members attend this evening to meet our Rabbi and Cantor.
