November Intergenerational Pancake Shabbat and Torah Bites
Saturday, November 1, 2008 beginning at 9:00am

Please join us for our November Pancake Shabbat. This month we will be adding another component to the morning program by offering Torah Bites with David Sherman,Temple Beth Am's Director of Education.

The morning will start with a pancake breakfast for everyone at 9:00am. Afterward at 9:30 everyone will have the option of either going to the Sanctuary for the Shabbat Service which is geared to the children or going to the Chapel to study a few verses of Torah ~ food for both the body & the soul!  The Torah bites session is for anyone who has studied Torah before AND for those who have not! Make it a point to be there for this physically and spiritually nourishing program for all ages.

“Shema at Bedtime” Young Families Program took place on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Jewish tradition can be a source of help and comfort during one of the most difficult transition times for most children-bedtime. Families joined together to learn how to incorporate some Jewish bedtime rituals that can help enhance the family’s experience at bedtime. Children wore their pajamas for bedtime stories, a craft, and milk & cookies. The program was sponsored by the Temple and the Preschool PTO. To see more photos from Shema at Bedtime go to event photos and click on the Shema at Bedtime album or click here.
