Religious School Parent Teacher Association

The Religious School Parent Teacher Association (RSPTA) of Temple Beth Am is a group of dedicated parents who are committed to enhancing and promoting educational and social opportunities for all children and families enrolled in our religious school. Our group of dedicated volunteers support our religious school by creating an open forum between teachers, administration and religious school families; fundraising to enhance the educational curriculum for our children and creating social opportunities and programs to build a stronger community. The RSPTA is open to all religious school parents and families, who are encouraged to become involved.

RSPTA Objectives

1. To provide a forum for parents, teachers and the Education Director for the regular exchange of reliable information concerning the spiritual, psychological, and educational development of the religious school children.

2. To help the religious school maintain the highest possible standards in order to continually provide excellence in religious education for our children.

3. To provide a legitimate means for raising funds for the betterment of the religious
school.

4. To support and promote education programs to complement the religious school curriculum and cultural and religious values of the home.

5. To increase the strength of our community by providing social opportunities, programs and events where religious school families and their children can interact with other religious school families and children.

RSPTA Contributions, Programs & Events

The RSPTA shall raise money for the religious school through various fundraisers and shall donate or use proceeds to benefit the religious school and Temple, with the goal of enriching the curriculum and basic needs of the religious school and creating a strong community among our families through social and educational opportunities, programs and special events.

The RSPTA provides pizza and snack sales every Tuesday afternoon that religious school meets. The RSPTA also organizes or facilitates social events (parties, movie nights, ice cream socials, playdates and family potluck lunches), parent educational programs, items for teacher and administrator wish-lists and teacher appreciation.
