MARCH FOR BABIES (MARCH OF DIMES)

Our family will be walking in March for Babies in memory of my niece, Bryn Starr Lemer. There is nothing more important to me than my family and friends, and I would love to have my "Temple Family" be a part of this wonderful cause.

The walk supports March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it’s used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

The walk will be held Saturday, April 21 at FAU in Boca. We would love for temple members to join our team and walk with us, or if possible, make a small donation to March of Dimes. Every little bit helps.

Registration time is 7:30AM with a start time of 9:00AM. To join our team, please visit http://www.marchforbabies.org/team/brynstarrs. We are also selling bracelets to support the March of Dimes. All proceeds will go directly to March of Dimes for research.

Please have members contact me anytime with any questions. jenfriedmanpbg@gmail.com

The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Thank you for your support,
Jennifer Friedman

Do you know someone with Juvenile Diabetes?

Max Bello is 10 years old. He is in 4th grade at Beacon Cove and attends our Religious School. He has 3 younger siblings, Grant, Reece, and Sloan. Max was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was 5 years old. When he was first diagnosed he needed to get 6 insulin shots a day, but now Max wears an insulin pump 24/7. He has to check his blood sugar 10 times a day and needs to calculate every bite of food that he eats. Despite having this terrible disease Max is a normal, active kid. He is a member of the Jupiter Sting Travel Soccer Team and plays lacrosse. He loves sports and his favorite team is the Florida Gators, GO GATORS!

Juvenile Diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes without warning and for which there is no cure. Max and others like him will have to live with finger sticks, injections, carb counting, and severe life threatening complications until a cure is found.

Fibromyalgia Support Group of Palm Beach County

If you have Fibromyalgia, you are ill. You are NOT crazy.

"You may have been told that whatever you have is untreatable or that your symptoms are all in your head. People think you're a hypochondriac and doctors may not want to handle your case. Or you may have been overmedicated by well-intentioned health care providers who wanted desperately to help you. You may be having trouble getting refills for medications that make your life tolerable. You may be in danger of losing your job and your relationships. You may have fallen victim to those who are making billions of dollars a year off those desperately searching for something, anything, that will help..." What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Fibromyalgia

We would like to establish a Support Group for Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the Palm Beach County area. Everyone is welcome. Whether or not you have been diagnosed with the syndrome, or know someone who has it, or would just like to learn more about it, please join us.

There is no charge. Temple Beth Am at 2250 South Central Blvd, Jupiter, Fl 33458 has been kind enough to offer us a great meeting room with comfortable chairs on the third Thursday of each month, from 9:45am – 11:45am. We can decide how often we would like to meet once the group is established.

It is difficult living with Fibromyalgia. It is easier when there is someone to share it with who knows exactly what you are going through because they have the same symptoms. Many steps can be taken to reduce your symptoms. Each one of us will have positive experiences and advice to share with the group.

To reserve a seat call Bonnie (Coordinator) at 561-512-1747 between the hours of 9 A.M. – 8 P.M. Please leave a short clear message with your name, telephone number and the hours you can be reached. If you cannot make our first meeting, but would like to attend at another time, call and let us know.
